in the May 2002 issue of Option2, there's a feature on some dudes EF8. it goes into some detail on how he relocated the Ignitor to inside the cockpit, to keep it away from the high engine temps. it doesnt say HOW he did it, just that he did it. im gonna give this a shot one of these days (im on my 4th ignitor this year) and am just wondering if anybody here has tried/done this already??

Instead of replacing the ignitor, get an MSD ignition. They replace the ignitor.

so ur saying if i get an msd ignition i can get rid of the ignitor inside the distributor?Or are u talking about the coil when u get and aftermarket coil???

 

if you get a msd your not relocating the igniter your replacing the internal coil with the blaster coil from the msd ......
