left axle....is it supposed to do this?

left axle....is it supposed to do this?
I just check my drivers side axle and when I wobble the rotor left/right, the whole thing wobbles, even the axle. The rotor and axle-end wobble almost half and inch left/right. Is it supposed to be like this?
The axles boots look good; there are no cracks or leaking grease. The problem is the when I turn right above 40 kmph, I hear a clanking noise, like metal against metal. The problem is that the cv boots look good.

if your 93 share my 96 's suspension. I would say No wobble. Especially 1/2 inch. Is your Axle nut loose? Maybe your wheel bearing assembly.
