Really odd issue and a new one on me
A little back story............
A friend of mine has a 97 dx 5spd hatch. He has just put a full obd-1 gsr swap with a conversion harness in the car. I built the engine harness for him out of a 96-98 auto ex and the obd-1 gsr harness so there was a little modification that needed to be done but nothing out of the way.
He installed the swap and tried to start it for the first time. It started fine but as soon as you crack the throttle it dies. Right away I check the thing for spark, grounds, and fuel. Everything checks out ok accept for the fact that its acts like there's not enough fuel. It will idle all day but with any throttle at all it dies so I spray some starter fluid in it and it revs up until the starting fluid is gone. We have replaced the fuel pump, fuel filter, injectors, fuel rail, fuel pressure regulator, fuel supply from filter to rail and still no luck. The only codes it is trowing are for ELD and Primary O2 heater and yes it has a full tank of gas. Any ideas would be appreciated.
thanks in advance.

have you checked fuel pressure with the car running and watched for a drop in pressure when you increase throttle? did you double check the wiring for the injectors make sure they are not turning off or loosing power.
I have checked the fuel pressure but I havent checked the wiring for the injectors due to the fact that I didnt modify the plugs. It is using obd2 injectors. I will check it anyways.
