I bought my girlfriend a 99 prelude (AT) in 2006. 1 year later the transmission starts slipping. RPM's would rev really high with out the car moving when you attempt to accelerate from a stop. We had the transmission rebuilt for about 1700.00, not too bad, but the first day out of the shop the car starts vibrating between gears, especially the lower gears, it also feels like it is accelerating sluggishly. It feels like if it is on the 2nd or 3rd gear when it is supposed to be on 4. Anyway we called the mechanic and he said the reason it is vibrating is because it is missing a motor mound, he says he will replace it for us, no charge. Could it be the torque converter was not replaced when they did the transmission rebuild?

that happen to my 1998 prelude and all i did was add trans fluid and the problems went away
