I am trying to pin point a problem I'm having with my civic and I just wanted to know what is the difference between a misfire and an engine pinging? How does a misfire sounds like and how does an engine pinging sounds like?

miss fire is when your car just stumbles at idle and feels like there is no power under a load. pinging is heard when you are under a load and your engine makes a buzzing noise hopes this clears it up

 

THANKS man..I appreciated because this clears things up.. It's not a misfire because my car runs fine at idle so it's a pinging coming from the engine when under load. I just need to find out why..
