Default B18 B16 DOHC VTEC Valve Cover (CHEAP!!!)

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...&rd=1

I recently pulled this off of my '94 Acura Integra GS-R motor due to a tiny leak that's located on the front left hole of the valve cover (see pictures). After a while oil will seep through this hole and onto the valve cover itself. I was planning on repairing it by welding up the crack or applying some JB Weld, but I decided to go ahead and get a red Type-R valve cover instead.

Obviously it's used and it does have the tiny leak on the front of the valve cover. It fits any B-Series head (GS-R, Si, LS, Type-R, etc. etc.) and does it's job (once again, minus the leak).

NO REFUNDS!!!

NO WARRANTY!!!

NO RESERVE!!!

Well, shipping is kinda expensive nowadays...so I made an estimate on sending it to the furthest point in the continental U.S. (Maine and Washington) and that's what the shipping cost is. If you were selling it you wouldn't want to spend money out of your own pocket for shipping, right?

And I apologize for the "fits on LS head" thing, it was late when I was typing and B-series heads just started typing themselves and I didn't check myself.

Regardless, it's a steal of a deal.

Shipping will be no more than $15 to any of the 48 cont us states.

You should adjust it accordingly and if you want to put the difference on the starting bid of the cover, that would be fine. The way it is now, you look like all the other shipping scammers.

As the valve cover is being started at $5 (pretty damn low) I usually mark the shipping up so that I make more profit off of it and don't practically "give it away".

You can call it scamming if that's your thing, but it's business.

(I dropped it to $20 )

So when auto repair shops mark up a price on a part is that scamming?

It wouldn't matter either way if I were to mark up the price or the shipping because it'll go for the same price more than likely, so what's the problem?

the point is that you're charging double for shipping. so to the average person not aware of shipping prices he isn't aware that on top of the price you're asking you're keep any extra money for shipping also. it's just a shady thing to do...

your comparison to an auto repair shop is just stupid. raising their prices over cost is business, they're not misleading people on shipping costs and pocketing the extra. getting large quantity wholesale and marking up for the general public is not the same thing, you're logic sucks...

Whatever you want to think dude

You see it your way and I'll see it mine.

But there must be A LOT of Honda valve cover scammers on eBay...there's even one guy asking $30 for shipping.

You're right, there are. I ship out about 2 to 3 covers a week and I've never paid more than $15 for shipping.

If you just asked for $20 starting bid and $15 to ship...it would be a good auction. By trying to make profit off of those not used to shipping costs, you're taking advantage of the uniformed...aka scamming.

Do what you like though, I'm just trying to offer some free advice.

Thanks for the advice

But I still stand behind my logic...if the price is lower than the shipping is higher...that's how I do my auctions, which you may see is wrong, but guess what...nobody is putting a gun to your head and saying "BID". You have the choice to pay it or not.

I dropped the shipping to $20 which seems fair to me and more fair to the buyer.
