Way to loud? I disagree. I'd go with N1

I have the HKS Hi-power. I feel its a very loud exhaust. It was on my Si when I bought it. Its alright, if I was going to replace it I'd probably go with somethin a little quieter. I've never had or heard the N1.

I like the way the N1's sit, with that tilt, but they are fairly loud, and it will attract unwanted attention from cops sometimes. HKS has a good tone to it tho

Yes my bro has it on his ej8 w/ b16 swap and I just can't stand how loud it is especially on the hwy. My friend has the hks on his em1 and it sounds great! You can hear it really good in the low rpms (great exhaust note) but once you get into vtec its as if it goes silent, you hear the intake more than the exhaust.

it all really depends.. if you have a hatch, the n1 has a crazy slant and IMO looks good it'll be loud especially if you are n/a.. i ran an n1 with my turbo coupe and it was almost as quiet as stock ive never experienced an HKS, but im sure it'll slant just like an n1 and be just as loud.. it'll really just be your personal preference.. be aware though, that if your car is slammed, your exhaust is going to eat the road/speedbumps/dips, etc all day long and have a nice flat spot on it

The bad thing about the HKS is the piping goes under the rear subframe. So if you have bad ground clearence, I wouldn't suggest the HKS.

the biggest determining factor of exhaust sound is whether or not you keep the stock cat, if you take it out it will always be loud and sound like ****, both of those exhausts will sound good of you keep the stock cat

i just got the hks hi power. its pretty sweet and i love it. my car is REALLY low so it does scrape occasionally but not as much as u should think, only on bumps. as for sound. it sounds really good. s not quiet but its not to loud. its somewhat drony on the highway though. mine also came with a test pipe

never had the hks hi power but i did have an apexi n1. I ran the n1 on my ek w/ a mini-me swap with just boltons. The n1 is loud. I've gotten pulled over numerous times because of how loud it was. Thats why i went with an es oval It has a nice deep tone and sounds a lot nice than the n1

I have the complete N1 on my em1 and it sounds great, not too loud. I kept the stock cat aswell. It also has a header on it.
