I think "that girl" from Evans tuning tried one, went 152mph or so with it, and it fell apart within a couple races. Put a 42r on it and went 159.6.

put a gt 42r bro i told you its been proven time after time tony and pretty much all the 9 second cars run them that turbo is a t4 flange i believe it wont work with your ram horn... just run the turbo you showed me 650whp is plenty im sure that will get you some really low 10s 9s

Yup. Not worth it IMO. Had a customer with a Turbonetic's. First one failed. And I am almost positive the new one has failed

There isn't? Why are there so many stories of them blowing seals/failing?

I've never heard anything especially bad about their smaller .48 - .57 trim range turbochargers, but when you're going with an all out drag turbo, why buy anything but a proven Garrett GT4 series turbo?

We used to sell more garrett's then turbonetics. I can honestly say we had more turbonetics come back then garrett but the garrett that did come back NOT ONE of them were warrantied. Every turbo that went bad we sent back and they said customer error, mis used by customer. WTF its a F&$K&N turbo..

thats why we swtiched over to turbonetics. alot of street racers which no filters suck up rocks and abuse the turbos and no quesiton no hassle replaced

i dont mind going a few tenths slower and knowing my **** is insured and not having to pay for the insurance too. who else gives a warranty like that.??

Not presicison and Not garrett.

I would rather be competitive and win races. I have gone thru the whole breaking turbos'in half crap a couple years ago. I switched to straight Garrett stuff and I have not broke a turbo since. My car is actually kinda fast now since the switch.

All the 9 sec cars have garrett's. All the 10 sec cars have turbonetics.

It's funny how no one like's turbonetics, because "everyone" is having problems with them.... Interesting that you are basing this on 3-4 peoples opinions, and hear say.... If your turbonetics turbo did'nt fail, then don't comment on this situation, I can understand people like Tony1 who tune a lot of cars, and see just about every companies turbo, he has the right to comment for the fact that he's in the buisness. If turbonetics is so bad, why is it the preferred turbo of most domestics and 7 sec imports like Paul Efantis, and a ton of other super fast supras? I'm not saying garrett is a bad company, I'm saying most people love to jump on the bandwagon when it comes to bashing a company (because I have another company's turbo, and for no other reason).

these types of threads are making tom lots of money, due to the warrenty, ppl get hooked on it i guess, in all honesty, wat are ppl doing when and if a garrett goes out? then they need to come up with a story on how and why the turbo went out, and then still need to be worried if they will even honor the so called "warrenty", as with turbonetics there is no questions asked. i mean dont get me wrong, i have also ran garrett

Paul Effantis stopped running Turbonetics since the beginning of the year and now runs Precision turbos. A lot of Domestic guys especially Mustangs run Precision turbos as well. All these turbos work and work great when they work. Just get the best turbo for the money and not have to worry about it going bad right away. Who else wants to buy a Hyundai that has a 10 year warranty BUT needs warranty work every year? Just an Example with Hyundai btw(I think they are supposed to be better now. Go KOREA! )

Well like I said to Tom on AIM, any team out there is gonna run whatever turbo that wil be given to them for free basically. I FEEL alot of teams out there may run different turbos if they weren't sponsored by certain turbo companies, I am not singling any one company out I am talking abotu all of them
