I tried to post this in the crx fourm with no luck, maybe get an answer here,

i just bought a 88 crx hf w/d16y7, it needs new axles, what axles will work? i tried to use some axles from a 90 crx dx with no luck. any input would be great, thanks for your time.

 

You have an hf and thats what is messing you up. You can only run hf axles in the hf. Now if you want to not have this problem you would hgave to change over to a si tranny and hubs the you could run the other axles from other civics from 88-91.
