Default *unhappy* gsrhb7 : sparco torinos seats transaction review

i just want to make sure that everyone is aware of this. a couple of weeks back we brought some sparco torinos off brandon (gsrhb7). they were listed as *mint* since it was raining and cold we didn't have much time to look over the seats. first off the driver side recline adjustment is kinda warped and tilt foward lever is broken off. the passenger side seat coushinis nowhere near *mint* definately looks and feel used, the driver inner tilt forward lever is also broken off (the passenger side seat was possibly at once the driver side and that would explain the more wear and the broken off inner lever was facing out if it was mounted on the dr side, so that would also explain the broken lever). brandon also advertise these seats will come with dc/eg brackets and on the spot we did confirm one more time that the seats brackets as dc/eg because he said it was off a dc. after spending countless hours trying to "fit" the seats into a dc2.. out of frustration we tried to attempt to put it on a ek because we noticed that 3 bolts almost all bolt up and the flat part of the bracket and to our surprise it bolt up to the ek perfect!.

summary:
1) seats are not *mint* as advertised... if these is something broken honestly is all we ask.
2) brackets are not as listed. if you are not sure thats all we ask you to say.

Sorry to hear about your Seats. I've bought a few things from (gsrhb7) and had no problems. Everything was specific and as describe. Before u post something like this, have u tried talking to him yet? Hes got a good reputation on H-T. I'm sure he would work something out with you. Hope everything works out.

Brandon is a good guy and is a reputable seller on this site. As far as him selling you seats that weren't the same condition as listed, have you tried PM'in him or talking to him? I would do that before making a thread like this. He has told me you haven't contacted him at all so try that?

well.. just delete this thread mod.. ever since i enter this honda thing from nissan.. things are way different.. out of the 10 deals via CL or here 9 of them are crap.. i just wrote out of frustration.. i paid for new brackets and now things are working.. however i think sellers on here should really give accurate description of their goods.. i can understand different interpertation of what is clean or mint.. however.. a DC bracket is totally different from EK brackets.. and thats what got me upset about the whole deal.

delete.. i paid my price to learn what this honda is all about.

ps.. well ive tried to call.. but no pick up.. and ive amend to the thread of the seat and have no response either.. pm doesnt work for me for some reason anymore.. i can receive but not send without someone firing one at me.

for those who've dealed with me.. im ontime.. and i like to confirm.. and i always show up with what i said ill show up with.

sorry that you've had bad experience with honda's. I would say a good majority of the people on here are pretty honest and just cool people.

well.. look at it this way.. someone tell you that it is a DC bracket.. it should not be an EK bracket.. its publicly advertised... and i asked him on spot to confirm.. and brandon comfirmed.. and i didnt drive my dc2 that day.. i drove my ek so the seat will fit.. i trusted brandon because he have a good "reputation" on HT

does words "written" on the ad.. or "verbal" mean anything anymore.. or is H-T exclude from such honor? i suppose it is my fault to TRUST people.

The rails/sliders are for a DC/EG. And even if they were EK rails/sliders 3 out of 4 bolts would fit a DC/EG.

I NEVER listen to what people describe a "used" product as, some people get butt hurt when I look over their stuff like I was inspecting for lice but hell I spend good money and as a smart buyer I will make sure I am getting what I want, it its no good I wont buy if its not as described I flash them some cash and lowball the **** outta them... if they take it they know I am right about the condition and value... if not no one is unhappy. Dont matter what brand of car you drive its all the same... its USED parts. Dont blame a seller for seling you something you didnt even look over, admit it, you got excited... smack some dough in the dudes hands... then halled *** home to get your "new/used" seats in.

this guy said buy some nissan parts for your honda lol but anyways, i have dealt with brandon multiple times and everytime it works out great

but even if it was rainy you should of inspected it closer....instead of just picking them up

i bought a motor from him and you can ask him, i was **** as hell about it, and i brought my other friends to check it out too...ultimately if you want to be sure about something it's your responsibility regardless of the buyer's reputation...

great to hear that you got into hondas but sorry to hear you are having bad luck with hondas, wish it didn't happen to you

but in reality there's no difference from buying parts in a nissan community or a honda community

i think its funny that the dude at anytime had the chance to back out upon seeing them.. Its not like he bought them over then net and they were sent across country.. You looked at them with your own eyes dude... and you still bought them...

Sounds like people should beware of you... Buy stuff and later post bad stuff about a person when really it is your fault more than anyone elses..

haha..this is getting funny.. i admitted that its my fault to rush things because i can really careless about the money... its really not too big of a deal.. i just want to point out that there are people out there even with good rep.. will not describe stuff as what it is.. im not talking about condition because its relative to each person. it is bracket im concern.. a dc and eg bracket look i would say 95% the same.. and i didnt bring an eg/dc there to "test fit on the spot" now thats my fault for taking his word for it after asking ... and see the description on his advertisement.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by gsrhb7 &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">The rails/sliders are for a DC/EG. And even if they were EK rails/sliders 3 out of 4 bolts would fit a DC/EG.</TD></TR></TABLE>

3 out of 4 bolts bolting up does not make this the "correct" bracket as described.

either way.. lesson learned ive moved on.. just let this thread die..
