Hey guys, I'm new to these forums and hoping someone can help me out.

I have a 2002 Civic EX (2 door), without the security system.

Occasionally, when I get out of the car (only seems to happen at home oddly enough), the horn starts honking and the lights flash for no apparent reason. It behaves EXACTLY like the panic button has been pressed but I am 100% certain I am not pressing it.

So far, I have not found a way to reproduce this problem, it seems to be semi-random. Can someone please tell me what I should be looking at? At this point, I'm suspecting either the keyless entry receiver or the multiplexer. But obviously I don't want to throw parts at the car to fix it.
