just to clarify this a little more. not only is it unsafe for people on the other side of the road and in front of you, its unsafe for the driver as well. in any rain, or especially fog, its an accident waiting to happen. imagine a wall of light hitting fog in front of you. ull never see 3 feet in front of you and ull eventually hit something.

Not to be dumb or anything....but what exactly is "retro-fit", what is the purpose, and how do you do it?

A retrofit is when you take parts from say a TSX(bulbs, ballast, projectors) and put them into headlights that done have them such as Preludes. If you click the link in my sig. it'll take you to my myspace page and there are alot of pics of my past work that I've done. Prelude headlights weren't designed to have HIDs, cause when you put just HIDs into the housings, you'll have major glare, uneven light dispution, and blind on coming traffic, so when you put projectors into your housings, then the light will be spread evenly and you won't be blinding on coming traffic. If you decide that you want HIDs on your car, save yourself the trouble and do it right the first time by having a retrofit done.

So how exactly do you do it? Is it expensive? How could I do it to my 4th gen Lude? I'll search it...

depends who you get to do it. If I were you I'd go to Brian(prelude1897). He does great work from what I've seen across the forums.

It just takes time and PATIENCE to complete a retrofit. What I do is take your lights completely apart, do a little shaving, and put everything back together. The whole process usually takes me 2-4 days to complete and ship back out. I'm located in DFW area, so I'm not sure how far Richmond is from here. My prices vary depend on the type of setup you're wanting. For an E46 setup, it'll be $600+shipping and for a TSX setup, it'll be $800+shipping. These prices include all the parts(bulbs, ballast, projectors, labor) I would just need your lights to complete the work

Thank you very much. I really appreciate the compliment about my work. I aim to please

Seriously reflectors + HID = crap.

Retrofit is in your best interest.
