looking for info on what needs to be done to get jdm type r recaros to fit in my 98 dc2. if you have a link plz post. i can't find any info. i thought the were direct bolt in's, but the don't line up. if aftermarket rails are needed which ones to use.

 

they should line up if they're from the dc2's. make sure you didnt get them from an ek9

 

i just did a little brainstorming and compared the rails to my girls rsx. someone changed the rails! the seats are definetly type r's. that explains why they won't fit. i'll have to go to the shop where i bought them and have them swap the rails for dc2's.

 

They might have been the JDM Recaro SRD's from the EK Civic Type R ... that'd explain the bolts not lining up

i am about to purchase red recaros for my 00 itr.. so when im looking for a set, i should make sure its from a dc2? and how much could i sell my 2 fronts for.. they are mint condish no rips/tears

So then, the rails on the JDM Recaros will line-up on my USDM 2001 ITR ?? If I get a set without rails, can I use my USDM rails ??

You can use Recaro rails made for the DC2/DB8 chassis, not EK9 chassis. Your USDM rails will not work as they mount totally different to the seats than the Recaro rails. If you can't find DC2 rails (which, there is a thread in the H-T Marketplace for DC2 Recaro rails), then Vision One Touch sliders are an alternative.

thanks for the info. the rails you posted for sale are totally differant than what i've got. those rails look like my gsr rails. i spoke with the shop who sold me the seats. i'm going there today to swap them for the right ones.
