Default Circuit Hero with Auger (Leather) Boot

ok....... so I installed the comptech ss in my 1.8 EX. Piece of cake, and all of the talk about the blue cap was nothing to worry about. I added the Skunk2 weighted 440 shift ****, which also feels great. Problem is, I don't like the way the boot fits with the Skunk2. Appears that the Skunk2 doesn't thread down as far on the stock shift lever, creating a boot that is tight. IF I sell the Skunk2 after 2 days of use HINT HINT, and buy the Circuit Hero ball, and Auger boot, will I end up with the same look as I've seen so many of on this forum?? Does the Circuit Hero thread further onto the shaft, giving me a looser boot? I am looking for a quick fix here, as opposed to major modification to the shift lever. Thanks again.

I went from stock to Skunk2 to Circuit Hero/Auger. I agree--the skunk2 uses the nut to hold it away from the boot and it just looks silly imo. If it would line up without the nut it'd be tight. But it doesn't.

Highly recommend the CH ****. It's more expensive and feels a bit weird to get used to, but it looks sick and is really growing on me
