As most of you probably know Superhatch (jake) had his car stolen last week. his fiance and i picked up his car from the impound lot today. Honestly it almost brought tears to my eyes. Jake and i slaved over that car for aprox a month trying to get the swap done. took that long b/c of lack of parts etc. Its the worst sight in the world seeing a car that you put together being haulled out on a flatbed sitting on its rotors, lower ball joints and exhaust system. most of all, the impound lot people didnt even have the curtosity to roll up the windows and yes it has been raining for the past 3 days. we brought an extra set of wheels but the impound lot peeps wouldnt let us put them on the car. we'd have to hire another company to come in and do that for is for insurance/liability reasons. so we had the car flatbeded to my house and put on the wheels there. the driver was nice enough to help us out. turns out hes a teg owner

Who ever stole this car was completely retarded... I hope to god the idiots who took the car read this post . They have the time to rethread the strut tower nuts yet they went ahead and cut through the harness to the ecu. theres a prox 894654564356479365094 wires to cut thru. 3 simple conectors being unplugged would have made a lot more sense. stearing column is not as bad as i thought. they basicly banged out the key mechinism. who knows how they got the car started w/ the cluster **** of alarm wires running thru there. but then again im not a car thief. they took the upper vents b/c the turbo timer was located there.... and the clock came with it. broke off the stereo housing b/c the roll bar prevented them from unsnapping it. the 2 NEX seats are completely gone as well as the 5pt harness. 16" kosei's are also gone. funny how NEX seats are not popular/well known and have been spotted on ebay just 1 day after the car was stolen.

whats superhatch planning on doing? is he gonna keep the car? sell it? how did the people find his car so easily? any why did they pick his? they must have known what was in it or something.

havent found wheels, the seats were on ebay. his fiance noticed car was gone when she got home from work called it in as stolen. turned out city of milwaukee towed it from the south side to their impound lot. who ever stole it DID know him. we have our suspissions (variouse speed shops) but have no real evidance.

the word scratched into the roof is "HMOE" my guess it that its suposed to mean "homo"

 

yeah someone broke into my rex and spelled "Thanks!" on the headliner after taking my stuff... BASTARDS!!!

 

they sure left a lot of stuff to jack. bad theives.

 

yeah im surprised that its not worse than it is. just left w/ a **** ton of rewiring to do... least the motor isnt gone

ya, this was mot deff done by someone who didnt like him, as i was looking at the pics i noticed sveral places where they could have easily spared his interior but didnt, and also why they hacked the ecu. not to mention they took the time to do scratch that into it.

 

damn, you should of bid on the seats, and won it, no matter how much it was, then told him you would send him a money order, and showed up at his house.... and **** the dude up. see if you knew him...

yeppers. his car and where it was sitting while he was out of town is not well known to most. friends knew an 1 speed shop who has had bad ties w/ jakes friends and the fact that jake never got back to them regarding his ls/vtec quote (which was retardedly high). reason they knew is b/c they have seen the car and knew what side of town he lives on.

 

isn't it odd how 2 racing seats are one sale on ebay. 2 black nex racing seats.

 

you have a link for that? i did a search tonight and didnt find anything. jake was telling me that some of his friends saw them on there on the 31st.

Dude....All I can say is I got sick to MY stomach when I saw that...just the broken console makes me mad...I know how I felt when I came out to my car one morning and saw my stereo gone...JUST MY STEREO...so I can't even imagine how you feel...this has been my comparison to ******* with someone's car...

i know what you mean. its not my car but i have quite a few hours on it. everytime i go out side i get a weird feeling. kinda scarey that someone else stole this car and now its sitting @ my house. just a weird feeling about it i dunno. on a lighter note the truck driver who drove it back for me asked me if it ran on race gas hehe

I don't think we all should be jumping to conclusions on those seats...there are millions of people in this country and I'm sure a good deal of them have Nex seats in their car...this guy seems legit...because seriously if they were stolen...don't you think it would be a simple "2 Nex Racing Seats, Driver and Passenger, Great Condition, Buyer pays shipping"...type thing? OH yeah plus it says his location is in Mass. In your location it says you guys are from WI...I may be wrong

that is the result of a theif sticking what they did to you even further up your ***. they know that will be a royal PITA to fix and did it b/c of that.

also, i agree with what someone said above...i think this was done more to give superhatch pain than for them to make money off this deal. they could have taken lots more and didn't...
