there both basically the same, there was a thread way back, one guy said the CTR lip flares out a tad big more than the Si lip. i looked at both and seems like the CTR lip does flare out a bit more. Not as much as the CTR style lip though haha...

Sorry to break it to you buddy but you have a FAKE CTR lip, there is no difference between the 99-00 Si lip and 99-00 CTR. They're exactly the same.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by LastGenEK_ITR &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">nope a ctr lip flares a lot more my brother has a 98 spec ctr and a friend of mine has a 00 si there is a difference</TD></TR></TABLE>
That's because 96-98 CTR lip IS DIFFERENT than 99-00 CTR lip.

I'll try and find some pics for reference.

99-00 si and OEM CTR lip are the same part.

99-00 CTR "style" lip, looks a little more aggressive as the flares are a little longer and jut out more.

The only different in the front end of a '99-'00 CX, DX, EX, GX, HX or GX compared to a '99-'00 Si is the upper grill and the lip.

The Si front end is no unique, only the grill and lip are. And the lip is optional for other trims too.

ALL 99-00 civic 4dr,coupe, hatch==== FRONT BUMPERS and FENDERS and HOODS are the SAME.

99-00 SI grill = mesh
99-00 coupe and hatch grill = regular
99-00 4 DR = chrome accent ?

Pics, for reference. The inner section of the grille is also different between the coupe/hatch and the sedan.

'99-'00 Civic Si coupe (mesh inner, painted outer)

'99-'00 Civic coupe and hatch (one split through the middle, painted outer)

'99-'00 Civic sedan (two splits through the middle, chrome outer)

She's right, they're exactly the same except the lip and grill.

Not true. NOFX was named after a Boston hardcore band called Negative FX. Mike and Eric were trying to think up a name and though No FX was a cool name. NOFX doesn't mean No ******* Straightedge.

And XXX Rootbeer is vintage style diner we're having a meet at. "XXX" in their name probably has more to do with what you see on old moonshine bottles than straightedge.

Negative FX was a hardcore band too.

From their site (most of them LIKED straight edge back then!):
http://www.nofxofficialwebsite....html

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by NOFX, the band &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">Mike and I use to hang out at his house and listen to all of his punk rock records. We tried to come up with good band names. I said No FX after a band who had put out one record and broken up called Negative FX. Mike agreed that it was the best one so far. There seemed to be a lot of gimmicky bands around at the time. We like to think that our name meant we were against that ****. In 1983 three of the four members were into the straight edge movement following Minor Threat's first single, but we were never a straight edge band, OK?</TD></TR></TABLE>
It wasn't about mocking it, since, well, they liked straight edge.
