bending fiberglass
I plan to get a fiberglass lip that I'm going to try to custom fit on my bumper, but I've heard you cant bend fiberglass without cracking it.
I'm probably only bending it an inch or two inward on the ends, is that too much for fiberglass? I have access to a heating gun if that counts, I dont care if it cracks too badly. I have some fiberglass ready and epoxy.
not the lip, but the same shape and necessary bending

(this was my old abs plastic mugen replica, bent easily!)

Depending on the number of layers/thickness of the fiberglass, its going to be difficult to get it to bend much without breaking or putting strain that will eventually cause a crack. If you plan on bending, used something made of plastic...or get your fiber glass lip bend it until it breaks then repair the break.
Bend the lip, and see where the most stress is on the bending point. That point, you should cut the lip with a grinder to relieve stress from the area. Re-fiberglass the cut after the bend is where you want it. Note: You can only do this so many times until the fiberglass becomes brittle.
