Default Answer: Viper 5000 parking light fuse

In a topic a while back we were discussing the fact that the Viper 5000, 3000, 5002, 3002, and DEI equivalents ie Python, Clifford appear not to have a fuse on the white parking light output wire. My stance was that there must be some form of protection internal to the alarm and that it wouldn't be necessary to add a fuse to this wire to protect your alarm from shorting out from the parking light circuit.

Well right now I'm holding a Viper 3002 in my hand. The fuse is on the brain itself taking place of the (+/-) parking light output jumper used on some of DEI's other alarms. The 5000, 5002, 3000, and 3002 all share the same wiring scheme. If someone already pointed this out then ignore this post.

I figured they would have had to put it somewhere. It would be straight dum dum not to. Or It could of had a cb on it. I fuse everything if it puts out power. Siren, parking lights and such. Better safe then sorry.

It would make absolutely no sense for them to have been protecting the parking light output all this time across all their models and then stop doing it for a few particular models.
