Alright guys I just got back from OC last night, and boy was it crazy. Young girls galore, all-you-can-eat seafood buffets, plenty of drinking and tons of nice rides. The actual car show was $20, but honestly just driving up and down the strip was a car show in itself. The most popular cars on the road were integras and M3s, although there were lots of Evos and STIs as well. I saw about 12-15 SIs on the road, lets see if anyone can claim these.

Red SI, lowered, bronze wheels (claimed by ArticSilber323)
Black SI, lowered, bronze wheels, exhaust
Black SI, black wheels, JDM H's
GG SI, lowered, "dub wheels" (with matching dub sticker)
Blue SI, lowered, chrome/silver wheels, exhaust
Plenty of stock Black / Fiji SIs

Those were the ones that I remember seeing off the top of my head. I'm sure there were more, post up if you were there.


On to the pics. Most of them turned out well, but some didn't . Disposable cameras FTL. Anyways here we go:

i was down oc the weekend also, good time, we never go to the car show any more WAY toooo much rice, so we drink and pull bitches hahah perfect weekend tho good time.

I do in fact have a digital camera, but that was used for all of my personal pictures, not for the car show. I try to do the community a favor, so keep the whining to yourself. Anyways, This was the best I could steal from my buddies gf's myspace:

Big difference between criticism and flaming. Constructive criticism = good, flaming = keep it to yourself.

I don't think "ricemobiles" have 10s of thousands of dollars put into them. I guess all hooked up hondas are now rice?

And that NSX is pretty expensive for a ricer.

 

price has nothing to do with a car being rice or not. i have seen thousands upon thousands of dollars invested in nsx's, s2k's. etc...i think what people dont like (myselgf included) is the massive amounts of vinyl, body kits, lambo doors etc...

not knocking you for sharing, im sure the event was fun. but i gotta tell ya i dont like one single car from those pics. and what the hell did that street bike (looks like a busa) ever do to deserve a paint job like that

i prefer the subtle oem clean look but thats just me

Alright I can live with that statement. Thats good criticism rather than 100% flame. I guess I just misunderstood the term "rice". I thought rice was when someone slaps an SI sticker on a non-SI, puts a bumble bee fart cannon on their exhaust, drives around with a body kit thats unpainted, etc....

I mean these guys have invested 10s of thousands of dollars into their cars (some of the paintjobs may be worth that alone) and are getting nationally recognized for their cars. Some may appear in magazines, some may get trophies, etc.

I guess you guys are implying that any "hooked-up" car is actually riced out. Either way, don't kill the messanger, I'm just posting pics. Hopefully more to come.

Not to be a dick but I actually realized recently that the Polk Momo Civic is a turbo R18 not an Si.
