there trying to take her away from me
I need your opinion and help
Back on 05-19-07 I bought a brand new GPW s2k
, it drives like a dream on of the best choices I’ve ever made in my live… Now this morning I got a call from the dealership saying that I need to go back in and put more of a down payment at least 1k more in order to keep the car
, which I refuse on doing…. #1 I don’t have 1k to give to them #2 wouldn’t that be a breech of contract on there part????? So just wondering if this ever happened to anyone on here and what are your thoughts…… HELP!!!!!!!

why do they want that extra grand?
weird. tell them to you want to return the car if thats the case. go take your money somewhere else.

did you buy the s2k on a weekend or late at night after business hours (after 5). some dealers will make a deal with you without them actually being in contact with a lender. they make the deal in the hope that one of their 20+ lenders will take the deal based upon previous deals that were taken by the lenders. They arent trying to screw you because they know that you WILL go elsewhere and there might be legal ramifications against them that could be filed by you. The problem is that the lenders wont take the deal for any number of reasons ie: credit, not enough down payment, too long term, who knows, but this is the reason.
You should read your contract to see if this is written about in there, i am sure it is, but if not then you can go after them and keep the s2k!!

most likely the bank that first financed you refused and got another bank to finance you and they are probably asking for more down.....
That is common practice amongst a group of dealers in the S. East. I forget the name, but they are mainly Chevy dealers, contact the Better Business Bureau, read the contract and hide the car.
The story went that the dealer contacted them saying they needed more money, when the buyer refused they took back the car.... ie stole it.
Oh and THEY'RE, not there. There is in reference to location, here there everywhere. Sorry that has always annoyed me when teachers would spend time reinforcing that.

I'm still trying to decipher the meaning of this after reading it about 5 times. What does any of this have to do with anything?

it happens all the time when ur credit aint good enough, sometimes it takes a week for the bank to contact u about it, ur gonna have to return it or u need to go to another bank for another loan, but it doest matter what u signed, they still have the right to ask u for more money or ask for the car back.

bull ******* ****.
a car dealership would not just outright sell you a brand new S2000 without doing a credit check.
hell, you wouldn't even come close to signing the papers unless that was takin care of.
maybe if they said, this deal is good as long as your approved or something...but otherwise. no. they are SOL

this same exact thing happened to one of my good friends.. closed a deal on a brand new V6 accord, and after two full months of her not receiving her application for a missouri state title, she decided to call the dealership and talk to them about it. The dealership gave her the usual run around and told her that the deal fell through and she would need to up her down payment in order to get financed. She instead took the car back, took her original down payment back and went else where.
so basically, drive it like you stole it, enjoy the hell out of it, and take it back.. either your original contract will hold up, or you get your money back..

Take two.....
There is a group of dealers in the South East, around Alabama or something.
They would set up the financing, sign the contract and have the buyer on their way.
A few days later they would call up and tell them they need to drop a few thousand more and when they got told to go to hell they would literally steal the car and re-sell it.
Contact the Better Business Bureau.
