Question about accord/prelude transmissions
I've looked but none of the topics cover this issue.
I've got a prelude MT and an Accord master cylinder, the MT cylinder is a screw in type and the master cylinder you push in and clip.
how do you get around this? or am I going to have to have somthing specially made.

First off, I am assuming that you are referring to the clutch master cylinder on the firewall of the car, not the slave cylinder on the transmission. Is this correct?
I believe that you can use the accords clutch master cylinder with the slave cylinder from a prelude with out any problems. As for the lines or fittings matching up, I am not sure and would like to know myself.
It is important to mention that the hydraulic parts of the clutch master cylinders might have different internal dimensions, causing one to move more fluid than the other. This could lead to some problems with mismatching slave cylinders.
Its the same idea when swapping brake master cylinders from an LX accord to an EX accord. The EX moves a larger volume of fluid to actuate the larder amount of fluid needed in the calipers. If you keep the LX calipers and use the EX brake master cylinder, then the EX moves more fluid needed for the LX calipers, causing the brakes to be touchy or lock up easier.
I am only putting this information here to help others who might not understand these concepts, I am not saying that you don't already know this, Accord2k-Hybrid. I did this in another post and a member felt insulted. Just covering my a$$

That's good info, but not what I'm looking for.
Longer story, I've got an H22 swap already done with an auto to manual swap, I have the prelude 5spd transmission and all the other parts. Well the prelude master cylinder blew out as well as snapped the clutch pedal bracket, I ordered the Accord master cylinder and came to a realization that the lines are completly different on the 2 master cylinders, so my options are to buy ANOTHER master cylinder or buy the proper stainless steel lines that come with the accord as well as the slave cylinder.
So my question is, will the 2000 accord EX slave cylinder fit on a 1999 prelude 5spd manual tranmission?

Maybe I can help with this: Here are some diagrams (poor as they are) from hondaautomotiveparts.com that show the parts you are looking for.

I know its hard to find info on anything accord, especially the newer one's. Maybe this will help.
