My car runs hot after I have been driving for a long period of time. Well the temp guage goes up but I never smell anything and when I lift the hood there is not smoke unless of course I remove the radiator cap. I pour water on the radiator to cool it down, have plenty of water and antifreeze, fans run when I cut the car off, and when the car is running and in park. Not sure if they run while I am driving. Also after driving a lone distance, then I stop at a light or something, the temp gauge rises to the hot, then when I accelerate it goes back down. I don't and never have had a thermostat in my car and I have had it over a year. Its a 97 Honda Accord. I have replaced only the water pump. What the F is wrong with it and is it expensive? And oh yeah, when I accelerate there is white smoke or steam coming from the tail pipe. Help me please! What wrong with my baby!
