Anyone involved with BOTI race series on here?
Looking to see if anyone involved with the BOTI race series (tech, coordinator, etc., etc) posts in this forum. I had e-mailed a question or two about the BOTI class regulations and received no response, just looking to clear some things up on my end.
Thanks.

Nobody eh? Let's try this...
For those who have raced in BOTI's Street Stock Class, I see they allow slicks.
My question is since it is a "street" regulated type of class (similar to NHRA's S/S) do the drive wheels need to be street legal /DOT approved?
I have a set of slicks mounted to 13x8" Weld Raclite's, race only wheels. I don't want to be running around last minute before their Atco event trying to get my sh*t straight.
Thanks.

I got your IM, thank you. If I have anymore questions, I'll call them but I usually try to get in contact through e-mail first.
Just curious, what is the average ET for Street Stock All Motor?
I can't find qualifying or eliminations results for BOTI S/S.
There's plenty of talk/info from Street Performance All Motor out there though...

It won't be a FWD, that's for sure!

If there is truth to this class being 11.5's to qualify in the middle of the field... to hell with that!!!
I will be one LUCKY bastard if I even clip a 12.99 at that event this early in the game.

That's what I was thinking, like a very high 12 sec mid/low 13 sec class.
If that is the case I will do everything possible to make sure this damn car is ready to go.

A mid 13 second car will qualify in the top half, a high 12 second car will put you in the top. I cant wait to race BOTI at MIR, except that damn big bird integra always shows up.
its always good to beat records 3 years old, lol.... i thought that was actually 4 years old?
what ever happeend to Gordon. i love that motherf*cker

Well, I just got the word back from Frank, my current set up is considered a swap, I would have to race in the Street Preformance class with my set up. Needless to say, that won't be happening. I did ask about just switching the cylinder head and not the entire engine/drivetrain... then I re-read the rules and it clearly says no.
Oh well, the car would have been pretty competitive in Street Stock.

I think the class is based around stock motor stock chassis, just becuase it is offered in other countries wont make it legal.

I hear you, Kevin.
All I am doing is looking for a decent class to be kind of competitive in, you know damn well I will race my *** off if given the chance. I asked these question about that engine in the past when NHRA was saying no swaps or something. What I got from that was if the engine was available during that production year and it was available in the same chassis/model that it was not considered a swap.
I am kind of pissed, 1/2 tempted to pull some resources together with a few of you guys and build a cracked out ABA and try to shove that into the winners circle. Thinking a build like Nate's old rabbit would get the job done and fairly cheap as well. It's just that, do I really want to put effort into "one" race?
eh.
