1985 Honda CB700SC Nighthawk S - 13k miles, beautiful - $2300 - Cary, NC
Excellent condition, all original, red and black 1985 Honda CB700SC Nighthawk S with 13,700 miles - 6-speed, 4 cylinder air-cooled, shaft drive, hydraulic lifters, electronic ignition - very low maintenance bike. I am the second owner and have had it for 10 years. Always garaged, lovingly maintained, a real gem. It has been a wonderful bike to own. Recent oil, filter, clutch fluid flush, brake fluid flush, plugs, carb rebuild. Really fun bike to ride, plenty of power for the highway, handles nicely, great ride. Never been dropped, no accidents. Starts fine, idles well, rides great, everything works, needs nothing -- ready to ride. Selling simply because I'm ready for something different. Includes complete original toolkit, owner's manual, factory service manual, original key and one spare key. Clear North Carolina title in my name.
Flaws are few and hard to spot. There is a vertical line of damaged clearcoat on the tank left side decal caused by clutch fluid dripping off of the reservoir un-noticed after a clutch flush a few years ago. Only noticeable within a few feet. The tank looks great but has a small number of minor paint chips which have been touched up -- no dents. Metzeler tires are aged but in good condition -- should probably replace before any hard riding but work fine and have plenty of tread. A luggage rack was installed and the paint on the grab handle has been touched up from the rack rubbing. There is the usual wear on the original grips, footpegs, paint, etc from being ridden. That's all. This is the best CB700SC that I have seen. If you find a better one for this price, buy it!
