Default how to properly break in b16turbo wit new clutch? i searched

i searched and got an idea how to break in but my set up is a little different then wat i read. someone who has experiance if you can take ur time and please write it out step by step from the first start up till i can move on to regular driving and oil. thanks! OKK so i have a b16 wit 8.3 compression pistons, eagle rods, balanced rotary system, arp bolts, new cam seals and stuff, new exedy stage2 clutch with exedy light weight flywheel, head is internally stock. and a stock b16 tranny and i have a t3/t4 turbo and ramhorn manifold what kind of oil shuld i use on first start up? i read to break in a motor rev up and let it come down to set the rings in, is that correct for a turbo set up as well? and how do i break the clutch in? id appreciate it if someone walked me thru step by step on each step and each oil. i normally use royal purple 10-30 but i knw it will be different till i break it in. if you need to knw more info let me knw and ill post it up. THANKSSS

I just broke mine in. I put regular oil (non synthetic) in it and a new filter. Start it up for the first time with that oil and filter and put it through a heat cycle (do the coolant during this time) leave it idle for around a half of an hour. Change the oil and filter with regular oil again. Have your tuner on hand and get it running (do not boost) for around 250 miles. Get synthetic oil of your choice and another filter and change you oil again and call your tuner and tune to like 10 psi to finish setting the rings.

Thats what I did...seems like its working fine.

what do u mean start it and do the coolant at that time? dnt add any coolent till i start it up? and my tuner is in san jose which is almost 2 hours away. i had it tuned previously wen i had stock internals. wuld it be safe to drive there to re-tune it again? so for the first 250 miles or so dnt let boost kick in?

Its helps to seat the rings quickly, idling doesnt put much pressure on them. Bringing the rpms 1-4k sweeping up and down seems to work well. Also, 250 miles is a lot. When I put one together, there is about one hour run time before the engine is seeing boost on the dyno. Everyone has their own ways of doing this, i'm mentioning mine because it really has worked well time and time again. Some signs of proper ring seating are good vacuum (24 inches on b's oem cams) and nice even compression and small leakdown numbers.
