Default Noob Status - need advice from the veterans

Alright guys i'm new to this site, i found honda-tech through some buddies of mine that own Hondas (a 2005 Si and a 2001 s2000). But anyway, so i have been driving American cars my whole life and honestly, i hate them...with a fiery passion. However i really was not given much of a choice since i had to drive my mommy and daddy's cars during High School (A Ford Expedition and Dodge Ram Hemi, respectively).

I have been in college for about two years now and i have gathered up enough money to get my own car. I've always been a huge fan of imports so driving those American tanks all those years pretty much sucked especially since i had to fill them up. I felt like a beached whale in those things. Fortunately though, I am ready to buy a Civic coupe Si but i'm having a problem choosing between galaxy gray metallic and nighthawk black pearl.

Now the main reason i am debating between the two is because i want to fit my new Si with a carbon fiber hood. I'm not sure if the carbon fiber would look right on the grey or if it would look tacky on black if the shades are slightly different they may contrast each other. I've only seen carbon fiber hoods around here on white and silver cars. Anyway what do you guys think? Any advice is appreciated. Peace.

You can always paint the carbon fiber hood too. It would look better on the GGM in my opinion.

Most people will tell you that you should have posted in the appearance section.

I agree with them.

The mere fact you're deciding on what car to buy for a carbon fiber hood screams rice...

If you're heart is sold in a CF hood, get a white, red, or blue car. Or for 10$ buy a copy of tokyo xtreme racer, or "search" the internet....

edit:
------------
There's nothing wrong with American cars. I'd trade my Si for a 69 Camaro in a heartbeat or less.

Hmm well i must admit...i do like rice

Also, i did "search" the internet as you say. Not sure what the quotes were necessary for maybe it just makes you feel powerful and wise. More power to you, heh . But it is hard to find a picture of those colors with carbon fiber hoods, although i just started sifting through the FG Squad pics so maybe I'll find some there. later.

Oh and about posting in there appearance section, sorry for that. I'll know next time but hey i'm a noob.

all colors look good with CF, its just matters what you do to the REST of the car that will make/break it.

so in reality, we can tell you what we like or think looks good, but ultimately, its your car (or soon to be) and you'll be the person driving it, do what YOU want and build it the way you want because YOU like
