Default Prelude SH Suspension Tweaking

Okay, I have a 2000 Prelude SH with Tien Type Flex suspension. I've tweaked it in a way to make sure that I have plenty of room for compression to make sure my shocks don't bottom out, however the extension is really short. From where the car sits my front shocks have about one inch of extension and my rears have about only a quarter of an inch. Is this bad? Should I readjust them back to have more extension or is it just the space for compression that's important?

No preload??? So what's the point of buying Tien Flex over Tien SS?
