I know that in the Z6 there is a purge valve that shoot the idle up when you turn on the A/C.

what controls the idle when I turn on the AC in my EK?

my cars' idle drops to about 400 to 500 when I turn on the A/C and comes back to normal when I turn the A/C off.

AICV works properly and the only cel I have is KNOCK sensor.

some ideas yes... the answer for you, i'll let you be the judge.

i know if the a/c has too much freon it'll load the engine down too much when you turn it on.

i would also look to see if the compressor fan comes on when you cut the a/c on. don't know if that would make the idle that low but it will also cause more load on the system.

turn all your electrical accesories on, headlights, blower motor, sterio and see if the idle drops then. if so the problem is with your idle system

 

turned on all electronics and idle did drop. It actually drops as soon as I turn on headlights on high beam. so I guess ILL be doing some hard research on the idle control system.
