I am planning on boosting my 99 si this summer. I was just wondering how much boost i can run on a stock motor and still have it last a very long time. My motor just rolled over 94k. Does any one out their have a boosted stock b16a2? If so how much boost are you running and how much power are you making to the wheels also how long has it been boosted? I plan on buying a kit from zerolift in cincinnati ohio which includes everything like installation, tuning, and a garret t3 turbo .57 trim for $3,500. What psi would be safe on my motor with that turbo?

It more depends on the whp, not the psi.

a t301 and a t4 turbo make totally differen't power at the same psi.

your b is good for at least 250whp with good/safe compression.

$3500 installed doesn't sound like a bad deal if that includes a tune, you could pick up a used greddy kit, install it yourself, and get a tune for about half that.

 

well they put the kit on a 94 gsr and made 281whp and 192tq and that would be the same kit i would be getting but that one runs 8-9 psi and i think im going to get a 7-8psi spring.
