I have one from Snap on that runs on butane. I'm not sure what you are looking for from your description though.

 

are you talking about the old school micronox torch?

those things were badass. radio shack used to sell them back when i worked there in high school and some optometrist was always coming in to buy them to repair peoples glasses.
