Default 89 civic hatch with JDM B16A engine and tranny, is a conversion from cable to hydraulic clutch pedal

Hi, I have an 89 Civic hatch with a B16A SIR engine and tranny that I just purchased. It was already built before I bought it and is turbo'd and there is hardly anything stock left. The car came without a.c. or power steering, but thats not why im here. My concern is that I have not owned an older vehicle for a while because of this exact reason, the fact that the shifting and clutch pedal just feel like a chore to use, they remind me of my old 91 geo tracker... they just feel clunky and disconnected from the car, unlike newer cars with better feeling shifting setups. I am thinking this is due to them being cable driven instead of hydraulic driven like most newer cars, if this is not the reason please correct me. I hope I am being clear on what I mean here, for anyone who's driven an older manual car and a newer one should know what I mean by the different feeling trannies.

Id like to know if it is possible to convert these to a hydraulic system to give the car better shifting. Does it have to be mocked up or can a setup from a newer car be swapped in? I wanna keep this car, so even if this job will be a chore I am willing to partake it. Any info on this subject would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

ok... well if there isnt a way to connvert this to hydraulic, is there a certain year/type of hydraulic tranny that will bolt up to my b16a and can handle turbo power? Would there be anything stopping me from swapping in a hydraulic tranny for my cable driven one? Please let me know, my clutch is going anyways so a tranny swap is feasible. Thanks!
