What stock color would you paint the 1989 CRX Si? Red, Black, or Silver?
I took my 89 Si and went from Black to a Blue. Believe it or not there are Blue CRx's out there from the factory (years I don't recall). Then again you could do it in that rare yellow.
I like the Original Rio Red...that's what I"m doing...too much work and too expensive to paint all the inside of doors, hatch, under the hood a different color...
Silver, or white; for the following reasons:
1. Red, Yellow, Black draws a lot of attention, especially with aftermarket wheels.
2. If you are going for the sleeper look, then silver is the way to go. Nobody thinks of silver as fast cars.
3. White is universal. You can do any color scheme you want... White/Blue, White/Red, White/Black, White/Silver, White/Green.
4. White CRX, tinted windows, bronze wheels, CF hood
5. Cops don't pay as much attention to a white/silver car as to a red car. Insurance rates (If you have full coverage, and have to get a pic when you renew, then will find out) are more expensive for a red car...
I have had 2 white CRX's, and love them.
