is there any reason why you couldnt put an f20b dohc vtec head on a f23a1 block? i searched all over here and i didnt see anybody else ask that question so im just wondering why it wouldnt work? any ideas thoughts testimonials would be great

 

If I recall correctly the f20b head is pretty much the same as the h22 head. If thats right, then yes its a pretty straight forward swap

 

i knew that. what i was wondering is if anyone had done it. Because the way i see it f20 b has supposedly a good r/s ratio and if you put that head on the f23a1 then it would lower compression and there fore make a nasty *** turbo setup that could make power up to 8500 rpms. right?

 

teh r/s ratio of the f20b is irrelevant if you are using the f23 bottom end.

I wouldn't spin a f23 bottom to 85 unless I built it up
