I have a 95 civic ex and am wanting to find a newer headunit to put in it.

Just wondering if anyone has any advice on what to get and what will work the best in my ride.
what year would be best to try to get that will be plug and play? Or are there harnesses you can buy to hook them up.

like if I got a cd player from a 99 acura would it be plug and play?

Unfortunately there is no OEM unit that fits very well, [esthetically] unless it's from another 1992/93 - 1995 Civic, needs same dash type... http://www.installdr.com/Insta...7.pdf

However, just about any single din Honda/Acura HU will work, and anything between 1986 and 1997/98 and even later Integras will have the same plug.

Also most pre 96 Honda/Acura, [even later models like the Integra] use the same "rear mount" mounting system.

The question I have is why are you installing a stock HU when just about any aftermarket HU would give you so much better sound. 94

I'm not to much worried about the sound, I just wanted to keep it clean and simple
