Question about fan noise when A/C is turned on
I have an '07 LX that has about 420 miles on it. Has anyone else noticed how loud the fan noise under the hood becomes whenever the A/C is turned on? I am not talking about the blower inside the cabin. The fan near the radiator makes a loud, high pitched noise. This is not a defect, as I have heard the same noise on several other Civics. I was wondering if there is a better after-market fan out there that would make less noise? Perhaps Honda will address this at some point in the future.

i have the same car and i haven't noticed anything. then again why would you be outside listening to your car and have the ac on?
My car sounds like an old busted Cadillac when I turn the A/C on... I figured it hasn't been "broken in" yet, because I am just now using it for the first time a few days ago, but its been running non stop since then... and won't go away.

Ley, your posts started scaring me a bit so today I turned off the radio and kept my car on idle with A/C on and then off and even drove it around for a while for the purpose of just listening to the noises coming out of this thing and it all sounded just as it should (GREEEAAT).
I'd say you have issues with your car that need to be checked into by Honda Service Dept. ASAP

I have the same problem. I havent driven my car in 2 months because I have been out of town so it was sitting in a garage all summer. Since I've been back in town & driving my car this past week, the AC has been fine until yesterday. It sounds like you described the "old busted Cadillac noise". Did you ever take it into the dealership or get it checked out? If so, what was the diagnosis?
