Default Slow Sol

I have a 93 del sol with a 170 hp B16A, but me and my friends can only get it to run as low as 16.2 in the 1/4 mile. The only code im throwing is for a knock sensor, I replaced my TPS and O2 Sensor. But sometimes when I start out in 1st gear it lags until about 4000 rpm, then it kicks and drives faster. And whil eim cruising at like 70 mph and i have my cruise control on it will kick randomly like its gotten more power. I dont know whats going on, so if anyone can help that would be awesome. Also Im idling at about 600 rpm and it will fluctuate up and down, is that my idol control valve messing up?

i would fix the knock sensor issue before running it at the track, not until this is fixed, vtec will not work.

as for the idle fluctuating, try replacing the pcv valve. sometimes it gets clogged and causes an irradic idle.

and for time at the track, is this your first time? i know the first couple of times i went to the track it took me couple of times to lower my time. practice.

the del sol is a ~16 second car.

Don't expect too much on a stock motor. Expecially one that 15 years old.

The del sol Si might be, but the VTEC model isnt. Besides the motor only has 15000 - 30000 miles on it.
