Painless swap? Not at all... not sure that anyone has successfully, or even bothered to swap in another dash setup.

Sell it if you do not like the dash layout. One of the many features that are unique to the generation.

 

Maybe an Accord dash from the same years or a 5th gen Prelude, but no one has ever taken out a 4th gen Prelude dash because they are too awesome.

Ok maybe try and put a 4th gen dash in a civic or accord, but why the hell would you want to put something else in the 4th gen, thats probably my favorite thing about my car.

 

I could see doing the EL swap into a 92-93 but thats it!
I have often stared at my dashboard and envisioned a custom setup with carbon fiber goodness or aluminum. The huge stretch is begging for it!
