Ditch the AEM and go K-pro you'll love it in the end and it's top notch for the K-series. You wont have as many headaches as you are with AEM and everything works like it suppose to. the K-pro has damn near everything you need on it. K-pro has less headaches then AEM, i've heard so many people leave AEM just because AEM is so anul. My roommate sold his AEM because it gave him so many headaches he said screw it and went with the M4 motec on his b16. But to answer your question.. i don't know, but i just wanted to give ya some change instead of 2 cents. lol gl on finding your answer

Well, I appreciate that but I'm really happy with the EMS overall. Due to my line of work and because I'm an AEM distributor, I'll probably stick with it. Nothing against K-Pro. I'm not even sure my issue really has anything to do with the EMS?????

I think it does have something to do with the AEM since the AEM ties into the multiplex and does not support it as you stated. The reason i say that is because you have an option to disable multiplex on k-pro and usually AEM is used for racing applications and not daily drivers that's why they prolly don't use the multiplex. If you disable the multiplex on the K-pro you basicly disabled all sensors, including the coolant temp gauge, on your car and from what i know is only time you would disable multiplex is if you were full drag out racing. Just because you're a distributor doesn't mean you have to run with what your distributing. I know an AEM distributor and you know what he uses.. K-pro. lol
