Default SH 5-Speed vs. Base 5-speed?

I'm in the middle of doing a 5-speed conversion on my '97 Prelude (base model). I'm ready to install the trans, and I just found out that the 5 speed trans I bought is for an SH model. I've listed it on Ebay, in hopes that someone will but it and I can then find a base model trans, but so far no takers.

My question is: Is there any way to convert the SH trans to fit the base model Prelude? I know the clutch housing is different, and the differential - I also know it would be expensive. But if I get stuck with this SH trans and can't sell it, if it were possible, I might have to consider converting it.

Thanks in advance,

Thomas West

There's a bit in there that talks about the steel that needs to be custom fabricated. Hope that helps.
