I just installed a new starter in my 4th gen perlude and when i started it it worked just fine but when i hit my lights the car started to act funny i heard my relays flickering and my lights were all flickering even when i put the windows down the cluster dimmed and my car was reading hot on the gauge when i just turned the car on and my check engine light came back on and when i drove my speedometer and rpms were going crazy and some times the cruise controll engaged and was reving my car and my acceleration pedal got stuck it was like my car was possesed

 

my old starter was a bosch and the new one was some wierd brand and the tip that u stick in the tranny was a little longer in the new starter could it be that its not the right amp or current in the new starter thats making my car act this way or did my ecu fry or something, I was able to kick start my old starter before i changed it and my car ran normal but when i installed this new one all hell broke loose.
