How many of you have totalled, or has a friend who totalled his S2000?
Well so many people I know are totalling their S2000s, not on purpose either. I'm just curious to see if this is a reocurring thing for everyone. I'm pretty sure it is.
Drive safe.
Drive safe.
What a thread man...
I don't think this is something reoccurring. Accidents happen to all kinds of cars. The only thing I like about your thread is your ending...

Sorry for the rant, I just don't like it when ppl talk about others misfortune.

Sorry to disappoint you with my thread, but you might want to read all of the responses from people who are familiar with it. I know of a lot of people in my same city who have totalled their S2000s in just the past few months. I guess it depends on if you surround yourself with other s2000 owners or not. What's wrong with talking about it? It's a reoccurring thing around here and I figured I'd bring it people's attention. My advice is don't let people drive your S2000, and drive safe. Thanks for the contribution though.
EDIT - Just found some GREAT topics that you made in the past...

That might have been said in jest, but that's the dumbest thing I've heard. Plenty of people have been fine driving the S2000 (including myself). It's not like being on a bike where you have a much greater chance of wrecking.
Anyway, I only know of a handful of people with S2000's in my area, and they have been driving their S's for years without incident (and hopefully will stay that way).

guy i bought my s2k from put directional tires on backwards. must have done himself, because no tire place would be that retarded. i guess he tried to rotate them.
anyway, drove it in the rain, took a long bend at about 40 mph...cause it was raining...let off the gas a little, immediatle felt it pull, hit a guy going sideways, kept going forward sideways right into a median, slid about 20ft with the front of my car against the median, guy did a 360.
no one got hurt, his truck had a small dent, and he didnt even make me pay for it.
I got a friend to do all the work for me for free..no insurance got involved. i got real lucky.

The cause of that crash was probably 1% tire's fault and 99% yours.

And I've had tire shops put the tires on backwards before. Retarded, but still happens.

oh, i know that played a huge roll in it....but it was pouring outside... the water on the road was pretty thick.
i don't think i would have crashed if the tires were on the right way....well even though they were almost completely bald, when you have a directional tire on backwards, and you drive in the rain... it doesnt help the water away from the tire anymore...it forces water into it... its like someone was standing at the front of all my tires with a pressure washer.
