Alright, i'm about to replace the old worn clutch in my J1 cable tranny with a staged up clutch/light flywheel combo. Does anyone have any suggestions? And how would I order a new clutch/ flywheel and make sure that it is the right one for my motor. I have talked to a few places, and they cant give me a definite answer seeing as my motor is a JDM first gen.

 

Alright, got to thinking on this, would I buy a clutch kit for a DA style GSR integra w/ the b17? Seeing as the tranny is the same and the motor is basically a stroked b16. Would that work?

 

You need to get one from a 90-93 Integra if you have the cable clutch actuated tranny.

 

u can use a pressure plate from a 90-00 integra

get the disc according to the trans spline. 90-91 integra is the j1/s1/y1 splined trans.

92-93 ys1 uses the bigger spline like the 94-00 hydro's.

 

yup you need a 90-91 disc due to the smaller spline.

 

So, i'm gonna have to piece together a clutch kit? So, in one big list, how am I going to have to do it?

 

buy a 90-91 clutch kit.

90-01 b series pressure plates are the same.
90-91 USDM A1 clutch disc = jdm J1/S1/Y1 clutch disc

so 90-91 clutch kit, and you can't go wrong
