1994 EX with D15B redline problems. help ?
Is anyone in Central florida that can help. I have a 1994 Civic EX just did an engine sway D15b. Love the engine, auto trans tho. No mods. with a 4wire O2. I am having problems with the getting to 7200rpm. the car dumps at about 6000? can someone advise? i tried full tuneups and all. running a p28 also.
thanks
thanks
Get a manual, you auto ecu probably busts a nut everytime you try and rev it.
That tranny wasn't made for reving.
Getting a 5spd tranny will be the best upgrade you've ever had.
Besides, why would you want to go above 6000 rpms on an auto?

The reason why i asked was to get help with technical issues not replacement issues. i am just trying to get the engine to perform how it should with the setup i have ....thanks for the advise but its a beater but i am just looking for it to run like it should.

And therefore won't like to rev. The auto ecu probably cuts the limit at lower rpms than a manual ecu because at higher rpms the fragile clutch packs in an auto tranny like to explode.
I don't see why you're reving a slushbox anyways. It's a d-series-auto, drive it for what it is. An auto.
