function and form type II or gc/koni yellows?
i've had d2 coilovers on my EK for almost a year now, and the ride quality has always been stiff with it set all the way soft (not that the stupid thing does much), and its starting to take its toll on me. and after riding in my friend's R with tein coilovers, i've realized how much the ride sucks. my car hops around sorta bumpy corners cause its too stiff.
my roommate has koni yellows on rsr race springs, and i love the way it rides (and the fact that the dampening adjusters actually do something).
i've been looking at ff type II's and they seem to be a very nice piece, but i haven't seen any reviews on it. anyone have experience with it? the clicking action makes me think the adjustments actually work. i also like the fact that its a full coilover.
also looking at ground controls and koni yellows with the extended top hats. i'm kind of shying away from the gc's cause of the sleeves. i've had gc's on my car before and after driving it through the winter, its a pain in the *** to adjust the collars, which have frozen. the bolt that locks the collar also gets stuck.
which one would you go for? need the height and dampening adjustments.

i heard alot of good stuff about the FF type 2's. Never really tried them so i dont have first hand experience.
what i would do is pick those konis up. Either pair them with some nice springs or GC's w/ custom spring rates. I know forsure you wont be disappointed with the outcome.
I'm currently running GC w/OTS springs rates and the new skunk2 shocks. I have only the two fronts in but man what a difference compared to my kyb agx's. It handles really well with way less bounce.

yeah man my bother just put them on his eg coupe. ride's like a dream.
I have skunk2/tokico shocks but I think its time I get some FF type 2's also.
then agian this is just one Man's opinion

i have the ff type 2 on my EG.i gotta say thses are a good buy.they go really low and then ride nice.
maybe the reason why you like your friends cars is because its a different feel.my lady has omni on her DC2 and i thought they were still but no.i think of it this way you are use ti your car and ride so when you get in a diiferent car it feels good or better.
but ya i recommend the ff type 2.hopes this helps out.

You might wanna take a look at PIC too... I bought a set of their Apex coilovers
... theres a review on the PIC selects somewhere you might wanna check that out as well.

This is very true. Yet some people still feel it SO necessary to go against the grain...
BTW: A little H-T research will show you that most of those cloned "full-coilover" systems fail just after 1-year mark. They are only built to last out the warranty period...
PIC is about the only "full-coilover" manufacturer that I would put my trust in. And that's just for the simple fact that the guy is ALWAYS on H-T. Any problems, and you know where to find him (still a 1-year warranty though)...

who cares what country a product is made from?
ive had kyb gr2 and ebay coilovers for 3 years, dropped a good 2 inches and no problems... the ff2's are just a tad better quality than that "setup" just meantioned so i dont see why it would only last a little over a year. Sadly i never got an alignment after that suspension swap and my tires are still running strong. I think it honestly depends on how you drive and take care of your car. That can determine whether the strut goes in a few months vs a few years
Not sure why they only offer a year warrenty since they swear by the product. I have not seen/read 1 bad review on them though. I did my research and im going with the ff2 route. Even though ive read like 300,000 posts saying, GC/KONI = BEST!!!! but nothing to back it up with it.

LOL! That's a little ignorant don't you think. People will give you a hundred solid facts & reasons why Koni/GC is a superior product. There is no reason to repeat them again here. You obviously are ignoring the facts, testimonies, and experience of others if you think there is nothing to "back it up". Your just have one of those personalities that insist on doing it your own way (or gets fooled by the pretty anodized finish)...
Good luck...
