what do you guys prefer for bodyfiller?
and is this rage stuff actually any lighter than just epoxy bondo?
and wtf makes it highperformance? everyone seems to jump on the bandwagon loving this ****

I've only heard good things about Evercoat Metal Glaze and the Evercoat Rage Extreme.
This stuff is popular with bay shavers as well...

I'd like to get some pro opinions on filler, though. I'm about to buy some for my engine bay, mainly to cover the spot weld dimples.

I love evercoat products, they adhere very well and sand quite well. I use a lot of Evercoat Z Grip, its my absolute favorite, it sands real nice, spreads smooth and it's about half the price of Rage Gold. Alot of what you stand to gain is time savings and for the average do it your selfer, it may not be worth the extra cost. you can still do a good job with some cheaper fillers, just make sure you apply it properly, thats more important than what kind you use.
if its shaving the bay, id prefer to use as much metal as possible, im just using body filler for bumper damage repair,
but just do what i did on my previous car, on all the threaded holes screw a blt in it chop the head off and maybe tack it and grind to get perfect
if its not tapped tap and and do the same, i only had to use very little body filler

it's good, but I still prefer Rage Gold,it's not as runny, and $38-40 a gallon for plastic filler is a bit too much,it's almost identical to Icing or Half-time,and still alot of pinholes
Bondo sucks ***. I cringe every time I hear someone say "bondo" on this site. Bondo is not a term for "body filler". Evercoat Rage Gold is the only filler I use, followed by Evercoat metal glaze to finish. And when needed Duraglass here and there. And to add, I dont know why everyone is so against body filler's. If you use it right it wont fail on you. It gets the bad rap where for instance people slap filler over rust holes, or drill holes then moisture gets in and it cracks off.

I've also seen people use rivets in small holes as a base to lay tack welds over, and then grind down and use light amounts of filler. Evercoat Metalglaze is what most of these guys are using when shaving bays, it's ideal because it's a light finishing filler to cover up imperfections like grinding marks and such and sands nicely.

Rage extreme is awesome, sands really easy but unlike gold its a little more runnier, than the gold, but sands alot easier. Oh and team rs2, you sholdnt use this stuff for bubper repairs, its not flexible and will crack. try the flexible putty/glaze, or the 3m plastic repair products.
i have started to use some crest seal skin and shark bite filler lately and it works pretty damn good but i am an evercoat guy
