Default Removing paint on CF hood

I got a carbon fiber hood with some paint on it. Now I want the full carbon fiber look so would it be possible to remove the paint off the cf?

You could probably do it, it depends on a few things though. My best sugestion is to try and sand the paint off with some 400 grit and once your pretty much through the paint finish with some 800 grit, but your gonna need to be carefull you dont sand too far through the resin on top of the CF. Once you get all the paint off you could probably clear it. Either way it will probably be a pain in the ***.

this is all just an educated guess though, seeing as I've never tried it before

Best way to get the paint off would be to get someone to media blast it. It'll take all the paint off without harming the CF. The sand paper route would be too much of a pain in the ***, unless you were going to re-paint it a different color.
