aha i trust his abilities, he's done alarm install on alot of ppls cars, no probs, & he does do it at bestbuy for his job..
well wierd thing is right now after driving it home, it actually does lock and unlock, but sometimes it doesnt unlock or vice versa.. (driver side only) passenger side works perfectly .. we are stumped since it was working perfectly before alarm install.. but did research taht A LOT of ppl are having this problem with their keyless entry and most answers are unresolved on s2ki

i guess its a problem alot of ppl are having

Did you incorporate the OEM keyless entry unit into the Viper alarm? Most problems arise when people try this, instead of directly wiring the lock cylinder actuators to the alarms control unit itself.

Like I've stated, people who have done so have had problems with the OEM unit interfering.

your lock motor might be fugged. if you hear it going but it isnt going, the actuator might be bad. also check your alarm wire too...
The doorlocks on s2000s are located behind the start button in the keyless entry module and is a 5 wire system(you need a DEI 451m relay box to do so). youre friend should know what a 5 wire system is if he's a pro installer.
Locate your factory lock and unlock wire..
Lock=Pink/black
Unlock=Yellow/Green and pink/blue(use either one)
cut the 2 wires in half.
Using the 451M relay attach...
white/black(451m) to pink/black(car) switch side.
green/black(451m) to pink/black(car) to lock motor side.
brown/black(451M) to yellow/green or pink/blue(car) switch side.
blue/black to yellow/green or pink/blue(car) unlock motor side.
attach purple wire(451m) to 12v.
wire that and it should work perfect. if not actuator is done for.

I second this. One thing though, I think you may have to use both the yellow/green and pink/blue as if I remember correctly one is for the driver door and one is for the passenger door (pressing unlock once only unlocks driver door). When I did mine I just used 2 relays (same as 451m). I hooked both wires to the unlock output from the relay and everything works fine.

I am the one that installed his alarm, i am MECP certified too so i know what i was doing as far as how to install alarms. his problem was unique to his vehicle. after doing research i came to a conclusion that 2000-2002 S2000 have this problem a lot. it requires aftermarket actuators or repinning the factory power lock relay.
