Omnipower Valvetrain:
Omni-Power titanium valve spring retainers are constructed of aerospace certified grade 5 6AL-4V titanium from the USA. We have tested the less expensive Russian and Chinese titanium which most competitors commonly use, but found it to have very inconsistent hardness throughout. Since this is a critical engine part we naturally chose to use the highest quality material available. Our titanium retainers feature a snap fit design when used with Omni-Power valve springs which prevents the valve spring and retainer from rotating against each other, thus eliminating wear. Using a non-snap fit design has proven to be detrimental to the longevity of the retainer and causes premature failure. All Omni-Power retainers are precision machined and hand checked for quality. Omni-Power Titanium valve spring retainers are approximately 40% lighter than the OEM counterpart and allow for .5mm more valve lift before the retainer hits the valve seal.
Omni-Power dual valve springs are designed for high revving engines using both stock and after market cams. They feature a relatively low seat pressure, compared to other aftermarket valve springs, for reduced wear on after market cam lobes and rocker arm pads. Our valve springs can handle up to 13.5mm lift and have a coil bind in excess of 14mm making them one of the most versatile valve spring set ups on the market. Seat pressure is approximately 57 pounds with a stock installed height of 1.320 inch. at .500 inch (12.5mm) lift, the pressure increases to 200 pounds. In testing we have found that this spring can safely handle up to 10,000 rpms with most common stage 1-5 aftermarket cams. During testing, the Buddy Club spec V cam shaft has seen repeated 10,000 rpm stints on the dyno and at the race track with no signs of valve float using our valve springs. Omni-Power valve springs have been tested on several street engines for over 50k miles with zero failures.
Omni-Power valves are constructed with both performance and OEM reliability in mind. Our intake valve is a 1 piece forging using Japanese SUH-11 stainless steel. This material is suitable for both high temperatures and has the hardness required to prevent the valve tip from mushrooming during extreme use. Our exhaust valve is a 2 piece friction welded forging that uses an NCF-751 Inconel head, mated to an SUH-11 stem. This provides the ultimate combination of material for both extreme temperatures and valve stem tip fatigue resistance. A flat bottom design is used to increase compression ratios by .3-.5 depending on engine size. Omni-Power valves are much stronger and last longer than EV-8 valves as well as many other aftermarket valves. Omni-Power valves are also available in standard compression for N/A and Turbo applications.
