Default I owned my hood this morning...

driving to work this morning in traffic...was being a nub, didnt get much sleep...so i was all half asleep still then...

bam! I hit the toyota in front of me. I think what hit my car was the spare tire on it...lol. still dented my hood real nice.

Anyone selling a CF hood? or know where I can get a good price on one? or a regular hood even...

my bumber is scratched too...ugh..but i really care more about the hood. it's hideous! lol you can see me trying the blow dryer/ice thing...didnt work.

For now I would take it off, have someone hold it onto a blanket on concrete (so you dont scratch it more) and hit the under side of it with a rubber mallet...

That is if you want to get some of the dents out before you get a new hood, I had to fix some Z-3 fenders that way that came dented...

Did you drill a hole in your bumper or was that the dealer? I'd ask for a new one.

From the looks of the damage i'd be willing to bet the core support is most likely bent also. You would be better off taking it to a body shop and getting a real estimate and fix it right.

i looked under the hood and it looks like its an outer dent. the underside doesn't look damaged, but the top is, so i cant hammer it from the bottom..but ill double check it later.

i think im just gonna get the seibon CF hood. sucks though cuz i wasn't planning on keeping this car for more than a year and a half..now i cant really sell it with a CF hood. dammmn.

Look at the pictures of the hood, the sides are bowed up by the fenders. That is more than just a dent in the top, trust me.
