Turbo Recommendation
I know we see alot these threads here, so im sorry. I already posted it in the FI forum. I was gonna go with a garrett, but i changed my mind.
I have a couple quick questions for you guys. I know im gonna get alot of mixed opinions on this, but ill ask anyway. First off, im going to be boosting my 94si prelude, with an h23a1. Stock internals currently, but new pistons and rods to come later this summer, as well as possibly sleeves this winter.
My questions are as follows. One, can anyone recommend a good turbo for my engine? Im looking to run anywhere from 7-10 pounds because of the stock internals. I guess i was hoping for up around 300whp. Second, where would be the best place to order a turbo from? Is it alright to buy one off ebay? (as long as its a precision? or will i get screwed) Should i steer away from used turbos?
If anyone has any idea on a precision turbo for a 300-325whp build on an h23, please share your thoughts.

The Precision SC4431e would be a perfect selection and net you around 250-285whp with 7-10psi on an efficient set-up. Also, don't plan on making 300-325whp with 7-10psi on a bone stock motor and having it be 100% reliable. 10psi on a gt35r will put a lot more stress on your internals than 10psi with a sc44 will.
Be careful when buying anything through ebay...

you could have asked this stuff in one of your other two threads. but a t3/t4 will work the best for what your are looking for. i personally wouldnt buy anything like that unless i could see it or knew that it was a new turbo. do some more research all this has been cover a billion times this summer alone. if you want to add pistons this summer you will have to get sleeved this summer (unless you run mahle golds).
Can anyone tell me the difference between these?
Precision SC4431E .48a/r 4 Bolt
Precision SC4431E .48a/r 5 Bolt
Precision SC4431E .63a/r 4 Bolt
Precision SC4431E .63a/r 5 Bolt
Im not entirely sure what the different ratios means, and also how many bolts i will want for a 300whp application.

thats up to you to research you can find out what A/R is and the bolts are just how many bolts on are the flange so that depends on your flange on your manifold.
heres a very simple explanation higher A/R means more CFM, more CFM is more air
and well we all (should) know what more air equals
